The Bay Builder’s Exchange Building was built in 1927 in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. The property has distinguishing features in its architectural design with stucco walls, red clay tile, roof highlights, arched shaped windows and door openings. It was designed by Eugene Durfee who also did the Georgian Hotel on Ocean Ave in Santa Monica. This is a historical landmark building.

This building is situated on the southeast corner of 4th Street and Broadway. The building is in the Property Based Assessment District of Downtown Santa Monica.
